Clive Burr started the band Clive Burr's Escape directly after Iron Maiden
with members from another very good NWOBHM band, Praying Mantis.
In 1990 Praying Mantis reformed and then Dennis Stratton added to their line-up.

 SH stands for Steve Harris

I went to their hotel in Stockholm (Plaza) to meet Steve Harris and while walking past Nicko in
the bar in a L´amour Rock Club Brooklyn t-shirt he shouted and pulled up his sweatshirt and
said, "I have one of those as well", and he was actually wearing it.
When I met Steve I gave him a Queensryche swedish fan-club t-shirt, he's a huge Queensryche-fan.
A few months later I met Steve again at Queensryche's first headlining show in London.

After 11 years I finally got to meet Iron Maiden again.
It didn't matter that I missed Megadeth while meeting them.
Sadly I was not able to get any passes to my two cousins so I asked Dave Murray to sign the pass to them.
Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain signed it too.
Steve recognized me before I came up to him, because of my Queensryche T-shirt. He still has it, he said.
Since I watched the 1992 Live from Donington earlier that day, I asked Adrian if his special appearance
there was planned long before but Adrian said that they had called him only the day before.
How come it took another 7 years for them to get together again, "They never called me.", he said.

Earlier the same day I had gone through some of the old fan club newsletters and found this. Since I play darts it was the perfect thing for Bruce to sign. Bruce had cut his hair but it was fun that he thought it was great to see that old picture again. He signed it "To Patrik, Can't play darts, Bruce Dickinson". The concert was great, Janick, Steve and Nicko were just as wild as usual. Bruce was back in the best shape of his life, he sang absolutely brilliant. Adrian was great, but Dave is still the best guitarplayer in the band. Sadly they only played one song each from Seventh Son and Piece Of Mind. I wanted to hear The Clairvoyant and Still Life, two of my all-time favorites. But happily they skipped Can I Play With Madness and Be Quick Or Be Dead. 2 Minutes to Midnight, Wasted Years, Futureal and Man On The Edge were the least good songs. The biggest surprise was The Clansman, since I never listened to Virtual XI. The song was great but, it's a Harris song and they have always been my favorites. It became the highlight of the concert together with the end with Powerslave, Phantom Of The Opera, The Evil That Men Do and Fear Of The Dark and of course Hallowed Be Thy Name in the encore which is my favorite Iron Maiden song. Time: 20.53-22.13 Tracklist: Intro: Transylvania (Ed Hunter Game on Video) Aces High Wrathchild The Trooper 2 Minutes to Midnight The Clansman Wasted Years Killers Futureal (Eddie came out) Man On The Edge Powerslave Bruce said they will be back next year to show that Heavy Metal rules Phantom Of The Opera The Evil That Men Do Fear Of The Dark Iron Maiden (Eddie the ´ead came out) Encore: 22.16-22.32 The Number Of The Beast Hallowed Be Thy Name Run To The Hills Outro: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life Iron Maiden Rocks 2000 27 Jun Stockholm Stadion Great concert again. Everyone was just as good as in 1999. Songselection was better than 1999 as they had taken out a couple of songs that fans had voted for that I am tired of. To skip Run To The Hills was totally right. Many thought that there were too many songs from the new album, but I didn't. But again they only played one song each from Seventh Son and Piece Of Mind. That is my only complaint. I love them both but they played the same songs last time as well. Sign Of The Cross and Sanctuary could have been exchanged for The Clairvoyant and Still Life. And they could have skipped 2 Minutes to Midnight and played any other song from Powerslave. Then it would have been perfect. The highlight was Fear Of The Dark and of course Hallowed Be Thy Name, my favorite Maiden song. Time: 20.18-21.51 Tracklist: Intro: The Wicker Man Ghost Of The Navigator Brave New World Wrathchild 2 Minutes to Midnight Blood Brothers Sign Of The Cross The Mercenary The Trooper Dream Of Mirrors The Clansman The Evil That Men Do (Gers fighting against Eddie) Fear Of The Dark Iron Maiden (Bruce in Eddie in the shape of a giant steel cage) Encore: 21.53-22.12 The Number Of The Beast Hallowed Be Thy Name Sanctuary Outro: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life 2003 28 Jun Stockholm Stadion Bruce was in good shape but not as brilliant as in 1999 and 2000. Songselection from old albums was better than 1999 and 2000 but sadly only 2 songs from Brave New World. My only complaint last time was that they didn't play The Clairvoyant and now they did. How wonderful. The only boring songs 2 Minutes to Midnight and Run To The Hills were placed at the end so we could start walking out early, perfect. The highlight was The Clairvoyant, not Hallowed Be Thy Name cause it was played a bit too early. Time: 20.16-21.52 Tracklist: The Number Of The Beast The Trooper Die With Your Boots On Revelations Hallowed Be Thy Name 22, Acacia Avenue Wildest Dreams (new not so good song from forthcoming album Dance of Death) The Wicker Man Brave New World The Clansman The Clairvoyant Heaven Can Wait Fear Of The Dark Iron Maiden Encore: 21.56-22.15 Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter 2 Minutes to Midnight Run To The Hills Outro: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life 2003 14 Nov Stockholm Globe Arena 2006 18 Nov Stockholm Globe Arena Tracklist: (20.42-22.10) 1. Different World (Smith/Harris) 2. These Colours Don't Run (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 4. The Pilgrim (Gers/Harris) 5. The Longest Day (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) Talk 6. Out Of the Shadows (Dickinson/Harris) 7. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg (Murray/Harris) 8. For The Greater Good of God (Harris) 9. Lord Of Light (Smith/Harris/Dickinson) 10. The Legacy (Gers/Harris) Thank You 11. Fear Of The Dark 12. Iron Maiden tank Eddie Encore: (22.13-22.32) Talk about coming back in 2008 with "the whole egyptian thing" 13. 2 Minutes To Midnight 14. The Evil That Men Do soldier Eddie 15. Hallowed Be Thy Name The show was only 107 minutes long, disappointing. 75 minutes of that was the complete new album. Overall I thought that Bruce wasn't having his best night. And most of the new songs were forcing him to scream way too much instead of singing. The support act Trivium sounded like Metallica did on their debut album. That sounds good since that album is my favorite Metallica album but it isn't really any point in trying to copy that over 20 years afterwards.
